About the author

Jan Lee Wicker has taught children in pre-kindergarten through first grade for the last 25 years. She graduated from Appalachian State University and currently teaches kindergarten in Weldon, North Carolina. Jan has enjoyed nurturing baby flamingoes, swimming with the dolphins and making friends with manatees. She lives in Roanoke Rapids with her husband, Chris and has two grown sons, Paul and Lee. She has had three books published and a fourth one is on the way.
